CHEW JETTY : Chasing Sun

Jetty is like a walkway from land to the water, like a dock, usually made by wood planks. In Penang, there are several clan jetties. The biggest one is the Chew Jetty.

You could chase the sunset around at 7.30 PM. My photos were taken around 7 PM, the sun was still up. There is no entrance fee to get into the jetty. Chew Jetty opens from 9 AM until 9 PM.

There are several stores selling souvenirs and food along the way to the jetties.. The famous one is Big Bowls Noodle. Unfortunately, we did not try the noodle because of we were still full after lunch.

At the end of the walkway there is a Chinese Temple and some boats parking on the side. They have boat service for around 10 minutes around. Tasha and I visited this place two times, to enjoy the sunset and also the sea tides. You could also watch fishing boats in the distance.
