TAMAN SARI WATER CASTLE

Taman Sari is one of the most iconic heritage sites in Yogyakarta. It was a former royal garden of the Sultanate of Yogyakarta. It has a bath complex, some resting rooms, and meditating areas. Unique massing orders and unique wall ornaments can be found all over the complex. A legend told by the local guides that said there is a secret tunnel connecting the site to the South Sea (where Nyi Roro Kidul - The Queen of the South Sea has her place). Although I have visited here several times, but I still amazed with the design of the complex especially Sumur Gumuling a mosque that has unique architecture style.
