WAT ARUN : Temple of Dawn

Yep, the renovation is over (note. year 2017). Wat Arun or The Temple of Dawn now can be entered by visitors. 2 years ago my friend, Tasha, went there and just ended taking photo in the lawn, because of the renovation works. We just can enter to the middle zone, there is a restriction line for not going up the stairs to the top.
I just did a little research about Wat Arun. The Temple was made for Hindu god Aruna. The form is like a giant stupa with a porcelain for the details. Some asked and criticized about why they repainted the temple with white color. The Fine Arts Department defended by telling the white color was the original color of the temple.

Several blogs mention that the best time to visit this temple of course at dawn. But for me, morning can also be the best time to go around the temple and seeing the details. If you want to take a photo at dawn, I suggest you take it from across the river to get the whole picture of the temple. The sunset will forming a good shadow and color to the temple.

You can access this temple by using a boat on the Chao Praya River, from Saphan Taksin.
